Following experimental procedures will be performed: (1) Preparation of 100 ml of 0.1M phosphate buffer, pH 7.5, using NaH,PO and Na2HPO4 (ii) Preparation of 100 ml of 0.15M acetate buffer, pH 4.1, using 1M acetic acid and IM NaOH. (iii) What will be the pH of buffer (ii) if 5 ml of IM NaOH is added to that buffer. Find out the pH through calculations and then determine the pH using the pH meter. For procedure (i) and (ii) the first step will be to calculate the amount of the two components (the acid and the conjugate base) needed to prepare the buffer. This calculation will be performed using the HH equation. Please remember that in procedure (ii) you are using a weak acid and a strong base to generate the conjugate base. So, in this case the calculation will be slightly different. In procedure (iii) you will again need to do the calculation first and then determine the pH experimentally
