2. A clap circuit uses a microphone to detect clapping noise to turn the bulb on. There are three clapping circuits each with one bulb. Due to some defect in each of the circuit panels, on clapping, the bulbs turned on randomly (some bulbs turn on and some don't). Each time after clapping, count the number of bulbs which turn on. (For questions c and d express your answer correct to two decimal places) a) State the random variable and create the sample space [1 mark] h) Create a table showing the probability distribution for the number of bulbs which does not turn on. [2 marks] c) Find the mean for this distribution. [2 marks] d) Find the standard deviation for this distribution. [2 marks]
