Premise: Are America's (or the world's) practices economically sustainable.

This can cover environmental, financial or other practices.

Gather factual information to support this statement as it applies to how this effects the American economy as related to economics. You will need to explain and provide specific examples in your writing. Remember to include your analysis of how this affects the economy in terms of output, income and other factors into your response. It is essential that you demonstrate what you have learned in this course.

As we are studying economics, we are hearing a lot about scarcity. One of the substantial components of economics is how scarce resources are allocated. If we have listened to President Biden speak, he rarely goes without at least mentioning the sustainability of our resources. Think back to Ch 1 and 2; they talk of time and money being scarce, but they also talk about fresh air, water, and other natural resources being scarce. Does this then make sustainability (from the political sense) an economic issue? How can we apply...OR Does economics naturally apply to any and all sustainability efforts?

You will be graded on your research and analysis of it and presentation (Grammar, APA formatting, etc.).

Some things you may want to think about (all may not apply).

• Are the initiatives sustainable?
• What Impact will they have on the public? The world?
• For ecological issues, can the US do it alone, or do we need other nations as well?
