For the summative activity in this unit, you have been asked to sample 60 people from a chosen population for an observational study.You need to ask a question thatseparates the sample into two groups, so that you can compare results of another question across the two groups.Therefore, your survey will only be two questions:two numerical data questions or one numerical and one categorical question.

In Activity 4, you were asked, with consideration of ethics and professionalism,to consider your topic that you would like to study.The example given was time brushing teeth and if you brush your teeth listening to music. The music would allow you to separate the respondents into two groups.You were also asked to identify the population.

In Activity 5, you were asked to outline how you would sample the population. You were to outline 4 different sampling techniques and identify the advantages and disadvantages of the sampling technique based on validity and efficiency. Choose the one that you would like to use to sample your population and justify why you chose it.

In Activity 6, you were asked to write the questions that you would ask the sample and create your survey.

For this activity, you are asked to survey the sample of the population (collect primary data) using the online survey you created and the best sampling technique you outlined. Consider how you may use social media to conduct the survey.Discuss exactly how you conducted the survey.

You will divide your survey results using the responses to the one question.You will then create the graphs of the data of the two groups and discuss yourconclusions from the graphs.For example, whether or not people listen to music while brushing their teeth will create two groups,so you can analyse the difference in time spent brushing.

You are also asked to compile everything from the assignment into a report that presents your findings and contains the explanations and steps from each activity.
