You will work in teams of four to prepare for the negotiation in which you will sell the Campbell family home. Two members of the group will take viewpoint of Sally, the older sibling, and two members will consider the negotiation from the perspective Thomas, the younger sibling. You have differences of opinions but you must agree a joint strategy for the sale. There are a number of questions to consider: 1. Will you hire a broker or will you go it alone, with Sally taking the lead in negotiations? (Note: the broker is an expert in real-estate sales). 2. How much is the home worth? 3. What should the listing price be? 4. What issues are important to the siblings? If different, can you prioritise and agree on issues. Regardless of if you hire a broker or decide to take charge of the sale yourselves, you must decide the following: 5. What is the best strategy for attracting the right buyers? 6. What timings are most advantage to the seller? 7. What challenges do you foresee with selling the house? 8. How might you prevent or mitigate these challenges
