For this project, you will use the data set in StatCrunch, named Body Temperature (owner is statcrunch. featured) Part 1: Binomial Probability Distribution Step 1: Set up your binomial probability distribution Choose one column within the data set to work with and find a relevant probability to use. Round your probability to 2 decimal places. Decide on what "n" you want to work with. It should be different than the sample size from the data set. Step 2: Find the mean and standard deviation of the probability distribution that you set up in step 1. Round to two decimal places. Include units for both measures. Step 3: Use the range rule of thumb to find the values that separate the significantly low and significantly high values. Interpret these numbers in context of your data. Step 4: Calculate two probabilities using the binomial probability distribution calculator In StatCrunch. Your probabilities should use two different inequality signs. Write a sentence for each probability that explains what it means in context of your data. Example for the Set up: a. I used the Thanksgiving 2015 data set, and found that out of 974 participants, 859 sald that Turkey was | their main dish for Thanksgiving. This means, we can assume 88% (859/974 = 0.88) of people have turkey as their main dish for Thanksgiving. Remember that binomial means we will have two outcomes, In this case, I used the outcomes of "turkey", and "not turkey". "Not turkey" could also be thought of as everything expect turkey. So p=0.88 is what I would use for steps 2, 3, and 4. . Let's say we want to randomly select 50 people and ask them about their Thanksgiving. (This "n* can be any number, but it should be different than the number of participants from your data set). So n=50 is what I would use for steps 2, 3, and 4. Part 2: Normal Distribution For this part of the project, you will use the data set to calculate probabilities with the normal distribution. Step 1: Find a column of data in your data set that has a normal distribution, and state It on your mini project so I know which one you chose. Include a histogram mom Scatcrunch of that column. Step 2: Find the mean and standard deviation of the column with the normal distribution from step 1. Round to two decimal places. Include units for both measures. Step 3: Calculate two probabilities using the normal calculator in Stateninc . The first should use a single inequality and the second should use the between feature. Write a sentence for each probably that explains what it means in context of your data. Step 4: Calculate one probablety that Includes the use of the central Limit Theorem and the normal calculator in StatCrunch, Write a sentence for the probability that explains what It means in context of your data. Once you have completed all of the above, compile everything into one por file, and upload it into Moodle
