For this week, you will create a PPT that presents highlights of your practicum experience (all weeks). This presentation should be between 20 and 50 slides. You must provide Speaker notes either within your PowerPoint or as a separate document with your submission.

For time spent in a facility:

Identify and briefly describe the facility (e.g. location, number of beds, types of services, what it is known for, etc.) and its Health Record/Health Information Management Department (e.g. the types of records maintained, filing systems, scope of activities, etc.). This introduction should not exceed 5 slides.

Most of your presentation should focus on your experienceduring practicum. Some areas that you may want to report on and discuss:

Things that surprised or confused you about the operation of the HIM department.

Activities you were not expecting.

Relationship with other departments that you observed; and

if able to participate in a team or attend a meeting, discuss what you learned.

For time spent on a project:

Identify and briefly describe the project: what was it and what did you learn from doing it? Discuss your assigned activities and other aspects of the project, such as the purpose, if it will be shared with others (why or why not), what research was done, how interesting/challenging it was, etc.

For time spent during Virtual Coding:

Talk about your experience. What did you learn from the experience? Do you think you would want to be a coder working from home (as many do) without the interaction of peers? What are some of the pros and cons about coding remotely?
