For your writing assignment, you are to select two companies in the same industry. For example, Walmart and Target; Ford and General Motors; or Disney and Universal Studios are good choices. For each company you are do financial analysis similar to the methods discussed in Chapter 17 of your text. For each company, you are to (1) perform trend analysis, (2) prepare common-size financial statements, and (3) calculate at least two years of ratios using the company's financial statements. You must have at least two years of Balance Sheets and three years of Income Statements to do this. For each category you are to analyze and compare the numbers for each company and between the companies.

The submission will be three sets of tables (trend analysis, common size financial statements, and ratio analysis) and a discussion of the results.
