Fred was driving along a side street when he came to an intersection. As he entered the intersection, his car was struck by a car being driven by George. The accident caused injuries to Fred, and Fred sued George for those injuries. At the trial,a local police officer named Officer Smith testified that he had done the investigation of the accident.
