Various countries globally have created laws that restrict the freedom of expression, not only verbally but also virtually, visibly, non-verbally, and symbolically.

Countries such as Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Uganda, and Zimbabwe also all invoke particularly strong censorship and suppression around the topic of freedom of expression.

But what obligations do Platform providers such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, WhatsApp, Tumblr, and TikTok have regarding Freedom of Expression? Especially around the topics of Hate, Pornography, and Fake News?

Your assignment is to complete a short paper on this topic. The paper should be a minimum of three hundred (300) to a maximum of six hundred (600) words in length.

To simplify this exercise, pick a one (1) country and pick one (1) Platform to analyze and report on. In addition, your paper should also include what your opinion & position is on this topic.
