Provide Frida with any additional recommendations you may have for her. Please use the following information from Fridas 2022 employment for your analysis. In 2022, Fridas base salary is $175,000. Other information relevant to Fridas 2022 employment income is as follows: 1. Frida is provided with an automobile that is owned by her employer. The employer purchases the car in 2020 for $54,000 plus $7,020 is HST. During 2022, she drives the car a total of 72,000 kilometers, of which 30,000 were employment related. The automobile was used by Frida for 12 months during 2022. When she was not using the automobile, her employer required that it be returned to their premises. 2. She is a member of her employers registered pension plan. During 2022, her employer contributed $4,500 to this plan on her behalf. In addition $4,500 was withheld from her salary and contributed to the plan. 3. As part of her employment agreement, Frida is required to travel around the world. She travelled to Orlando for a business trip. Her employer paid her airline ticket of $5000. In addition, she was provided with a meal allowance of $50 per day and a hotel allowance of $250 per day. 4. During 2022, Frida received three non-cash awards, none of which were performance related. The first, a paid weekend at a local hotel, had a fair market value of $400. The second was a $200 gift certificate at a womens clothing store. The third gift was a bottle of 1995 Haut Brion had a fair market value of $550. 5. For Fridas five-year service award she received a $200 gift card to a local restaurant and a $300 watch. 6. In 2020, her employer granted her options to buy 1,000 shares of the companys stock at $20 per share. At the time of the grant, the shares were trading at $19 per share. On June 1, 2022, all of these options are exercised. At this time the shares are trading at $31 per share. She does not sell the shares in 2022. 7. Frida and her husband, Steve purchased a home in 2022. Fridas employer provided her with a $40,000 interest free loan on January 1, 2022. The prescribed rate at the time of the loan was 5%. In the third and fourth quarter of the year, the prescribed rate was 4%. 8. During the year, Frida attended a finance course at a local post-secondary institution for $500 and also attended a make-up course for $250. The employer paid for both of the courses. 9. Her employer paid premiums of $384 per month for a private health care plan for Frida and her dependents.
