From: Pamela Wilson, Amazon Support To: Ishita Preethi, Duriva Products Subject: RE: [CUSTOMER TIER: BUSINESS] Web Site Outage last week Hello, Thank you for contacting Amazon Premium Support. I understand your website went down last week and want to prevent this in the future. I see you are currently running on a single EC2 instance which ran out of resources. I recommend using Auto-Scaling and Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) to automatically load balance and generate more backend servers to address changes in your websites capacity. Below are links on how to create an Auto-Scaling group and create and use an ELB. Documentation: How to Set Up a Scaled and Load-Balanced Application Documentation: Introduction to ELB and Auto-Scaling Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.
