My program is UNICEF. A little bit about UNICEF:
Under the United Nations umbrella, UNICEF is a non-profit institution. The group is dedicated to upholding children's rights all throughout the world. It accomplishes this through advocacy and initiatives designed to aid the children in getting the things they need. The group aids the mothers of the children as well as the children themselves. It's crucial for this to make sure the mothers can support their children. UNICEF primarily works in underdeveloped nations where women and children are more likely to face a lack of access to basic essentials. Due to poverty, conflict, sickness, disasters, violence, and even exploitation, children and mothers in underdeveloped countries are more prone to suffer disadvantages.
As part of its mandate, UNICEF runs a number of programs. One of these is giving children access to a basic education. The company understands the value of education to a community. Additionally, it promotes providing proper education for more children, particularly at the basic level. The group also promotes gender equality in the educational system in light of the inequality that exists in some of the nations. The charity also runs a program aimed at managing and reducing HIV/AIDS in children (UNICEF, 2022). Since there is now no cure for the illness, it is crucial that those who are affected receive the right care if they are to live a long life. The group also supports mother-to-child transmission prevention measures. These qualities are what drew me to this organization. Helping children around the world is UNICEF's ultimate purpose, which it accomplishes through advocacy and hands-on assistance (UNICEF, 2022).
