Read all of the assessment tasks carefully.

  1. Answer all the questions for each unit of competency.
  2. The evidence for the task can be handwritten or in a word document.
  3. If you have been asked to explain or describe, provide your answer in sufficient words i.e. 20 to 40 words or as per instructions/requirements for individual question. If you have been asked multiple choice question, you must choose the appropriate answer in the given choices. If you think more than one of given choices are correct, in that case you can choose as many as you think are appropriate.
  4. Your answers must reflect knowledge and understanding of the subject.
  5. Students can ask the trainer/assessor if they are having any problem in understanding the questions. (Please do not expect the trainer/assessor to tell you answer for the questions)
  6. All questions and tasks must be correct to be assessed as satisfactory.
  7. The Assessment is to be attempted after completing the face-to-face training for this unit with the trainer and assessor.
  8. Please be advised that the student is required to submit all the required documents as mentioned in Deliverable Specifications in the assessment instructions.
  9. Your assessment will be given an outcome of competent or not yet competent.
  10. For role paly activities, the students are strongly advised to go through the marking/observation checklist to get an idea of what observable behaviours are expected from him/her during assessment.
  11. The student will be asked Oral Questions to confirm the ability to consistently identify and correctly interpret the essential underpinning knowledge required for practical application. The answer provided by you verbally will be added to the assessment by the trainer and assessor.
  12. After completing assessment and obtaining result from trainer/assessor, you will acknowledge on Assessment Result Sheet that you have been informed of the assessment result and the reasons for the outcome.

Deliverable specifications

The student must deliver answers to all the questions. The answers should be correct, sufficient and in acceptable form of quality and standard.

9. What are research questions that may be asked when performing a SWOT analysis for HR, you, and others in your organisation? Provide at least 3 examples for each SWOT category.

10. To minimise errors from occurring in contract, negotiation and/or processes, what can you include in your negotiation process?

11. What are the most common internal factors that typically affect an organisation? Provide 4 examples.

This assessment consists of several sections. This is a knowledge-based assessment task and will require complex research using the internet and other resources made available. You need to provide response to all sections below.

The purpose of this task is to demonstrate your knowledge to meet the requirements safely and effectively to:

  • outline the legislation, regulations, and codes of practice relevant to the organisation's strategic plan.
  • give examples of risks and risk management strategies relevant to strategic planning including:
  • intellectual property rights and responsibilities
  • other risks
  • outline strategic planning methodologies including political, economic, social, and technological (PEST) analysis and strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats analysis (SWOT)
  • identify internal and external sources of information relevant to the organisation's market, competitors, customer base, vision, values and capabilities
  • outline techniques for developing organisational values.
