GIIT Ltd, a well-known IT company in India established in 1982, which was once a highly successful organization, with the advent of fierce competition in the market went into a declining growth rate in market share and profitability since 2016. Most of the senior leadership team members in an off-site meeting emphasized the urgent need for change of the organizational culture. Following this meeting, the HR Head was asked to conduct a culture audit about the current and desired cultures. One of the well-known professional management firms with expertise in organizational turnaround was engaged to conduct the culture audit. The culture survey by the firm with the top 300 employees revealed the current culture and desired culture as below.
