One of the most common issues that happen in the daily lives of individuals, even though some of the people live in denial of this issue, is sexual Harassment. Well, to some, it is not clear what it means, and that is why we can say they face it but cannot get to understand it is Sexual Harassment. Primarily, it spreads in occupational areas and industries globally, and one can find it documented in some blogs, social media, and news. To better understand this phenomenon, we have to look at what it means to be sexually harassed and why it can be an ethical issue. Sexual Harassment can be described as any unwelcome and offensive act or behavior to a generally sex-based individual. The case has created a moral dilemma, and its actions can be viewed as an ethical issue in the community based on some theories.

Some conditions lead to Sexual Harassment in workplaces when one needs a job benefit and when the working conditions created are hostile. One can be physically, verbally, or non-verbally sexually harassed. In the workplace, Sexual Harassment will lead to an ethical dilemma among concerned individuals. This is because the individuals caught up in Sexual Harassment are wary of losing their jobs or not getting some benefits they require in the workplace. Individuals are afraid of reporting because some of the main perpetrators are usually protected, and the blame constantly shifts to the one reporting. It is basically about individuals' power and gender roles in an organization (CBS News, 2021). It is hard to understand Sexual Harassment based facts on one theory. However, one theory that explains it better is the Organizational theory. In this theory, one of the significant components is power. The theory explains that the hierarchy in the workplace presents some individuals with power, and it is with this power that some acts go unnoticed. Speaking of Sexual Harassment as an ethical issue, we have to look at the main moral components being put to the test, this being what is right and what is wrong. These two components will dictate the action in the play, whether they are right or wrong.

Sexual Harassment should not be allowed to flourish in any organization as it limits the output of the workers and the general growth of the company. Many people have been harassed sexually and have kept quiet about it. This is because of the many dilemmas that result from the action of Sexual Harassment. The power imbalance in the organization and other acts of discrimination is the root cause of the growth and spread of Sexual Harassment in the workplaces and industries. A hostile working environment would always be present in any workplace where Sexual Harassment goes unnoticed, and solving the issues early enough will help create more conducive working environment.
