Give an example of extinction. It can be real life example, or one you make up as long as all three parts of the definition of extinction are illustrated.

Example: Usually when my baby cries I pick up her up and she stops crying. (1. A behavior has been previously been reinforced.)

Now when she cries i don't pick her up. (2. her behavior us no longer results in the reinforcing consequences)

Eventually, she stops crying. (3. therefore the behavior stops occurring in the future.)
