Give feedback appreciative and positive, specific rather than general on this post here: The author Tara: In a previous job, I was part of a conversion team for our manufacturing plants ERP system. It was a huge undertaking and could cause significant downtime if it wasn't done correctly. We made sure to pay particularly close attention to the other sites that were changing their ERP ahead of us. We watched to see what issues they had and what mistakes they made so that we could (hopefully) avoid those ourselves. We found that most sites were going live with the system without UAT scenario running, without training the affect team members and without sufficient support for the first month after Go-Live. My site worked hard to minimize these risks. We ran every scenario we could think of, trying to intentionally break the system so we could find any gaps ahead of Go-Live. We offered training classes for every production function on every shift. We plied them with free snacks and soda to attend! Once Go-Live date hit, we made sure to have plenty of support people to help with any issues. Our general motto was: If you hear a scanner beeping
