Given FOUR devices namely the printer, the hard disk, the web cam and the modem with increasing interrupt priorities of 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively. The following sequence of interrupts is received from these devices: (See the figure on the right side). (Groen: The CPu/ has started executing a program PI with a priority level 1 at T-1) Each interrupting device has an ISR, placed in the main memory by the operating system. Each ISR and the program Pl contains 10 instructions and each instruction is executed in ONE slot. T=4 T=9 Hard Disk T-12 T-19 Printer Printer Modem T-22 T-26 Webcam Webcam Consider the following example for understanding: If an interrupt comes at T = 5 than the ISR will be executed from T-6 onwards. If the last Instruction of an ISR is executed at T-20 then, after a POP of the snapshot, the is checked at T-21 and the next instruction of the next ISR or the same ISR is executed from T-22.
