You will also draft a career roadmap and identify other areas that you would use GOAL setting effectively. S.M.A.R.T. Goal Setting Instructions Preparation: Review the GOAL setting module, and review the process of goal setting. This assignment, except for the career roadmap, should be typed and submitted via the Learning Hub. as per the date indicate. Use what ever means works best for you to develop your roadmap and save it as a PDF and submit it too. Prepare your career plan for either the next 5 or 10 years. PART 1 - Set a Specific Goal: Be specific and write a goal for where you want to be in 5 years from now. Or if you prefer write it for 10 years from now. What type of work will you be doing? Be specific. Job title? Staff position or self-employed/consulting work? Type of organization? Geographic location? Other specific. Example: To be the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor for ABC Company in Surrey BC by December 2028. Measurement: Write a series of goal objectives or sub-goals. What specific actions and steps do you need to take to achieve this goal? Over the next five years, how will you measure if you are progressing toward your goal? What kind of feedback on your progress will you seek? How will specific and timely be obtained in your progress? PART 2 - Your Detailed Career Roadmap: Draw a detailed career roadmap/diagram/picture showing how you will reach your 5 year or 10 year goal from where you are now. Refer to and draw upon your responses in the previous SMART Goals Setting sections. Include milestones along the way, timelines, potential obstacles and plans for overcoming them. (After the program refer to your Career Roadmap once every month.)
