Godfrey and Annet two ambitious persons met in a Ugandan Night Club in the United Kingdom as Post Graduate Law students in November 2017. After a two-week courtship, they bribe a poor parish priest and got married in a small village church in West Midlands, United Kingdom. To conceal the bribe, no witnesses were present at the occasion. As luck would have it, they both got twelve months internships with London based law firms after completing their studies where they worked for one year after their marriage and there after returned to Uganda. Upon return to Uganda their marriage has never been in turmoil. Godfrey turned beastly to Annet after their marriage and beats her up time and again. He says that he has never really loved her and thought that by marrying her in the UK he would have been granted an extension on his visa but this proved futile. He has since moved out of the marital bedroom and started sleeping in the guest wing. Annet on the other hand is tired of Godfrey's endless beatings, his drinking habits and infidelity with other women. Only very recently, she also discovered that that Godfrey's negative actions towards her are a cover up of his periodic impotence that he treats with constant Viagra. In his defence, he says he does not owe her any duty and that life is short to spend it with someone you detest. They are both so tired of each other that they want to terminate the marriage and are conniving on how to create credible information to give court so that their marriage can be dissolved by divorce. On the other hand, Atiku met Shakira at campus. He fell in love with her and promised to marry her. To show how serious he was, he asked her to move in with her to save on rent. In their second year, Shakira became pregnant. Atiku being a member of Law Society and wanting to be seen as a responsible Law Student he is, he requests Shakira to stop schooling until she gives birth. To avoid the shame, Shakira stops attending school. One morning, Atiku told Shakira that he will be moving out of the house because his parents are coming and they may not like that living arrangement. He promises to take care of her from his new home. After 5 months, he goes quiet and Shakira has been suffering going to the doctor's appointments alone. She has since learnt that Atiku met another beautiful Rwandese girl in first year and has even visited her parents commencing marriage plans.
