Gravity exist because of the Earth's mass. The Earth's mass exerts a gravitational pull on our body's mass. If a person is on a place where there is less mass then the weight of the person will also be less. Because Earth is more massive than a person, the force exerted doesn't really have an effect on the planet.According to Sir Isaac Newton, attraction to each other is based on the relation on the mass of the two objects and the distance between them. The greater the mass of the two objects and the shorter the distance between them, the stronger the pull of the gravitational forces they exert on each other. Gravity makes a way to store energy on a body due to its height above the Earth which is the distance of a body to the ground (away or closer to the ground) and this is called gravitational energy. We already know that gravitational attraction is directly related to the mass of an object. In here, some explain that gravitational repulsion is related to the temperature of a particle and also the expansion of the universe.
Newton's universal law of gravitation says that, "every particle in the universe attracts every other particle with a force along a line joining them. The force is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them." The question of the day iswhydoes gravity exist? Gravity exists because of the earth's mass. Everything with mass gives off tiny particles called gravitons, and the greater the mass of the object, the more gravitons it produces, (Space environment) which is why the earth has such a strong gravitational pull, strong enough to maintain the moon's orbit around it; gravity is what keeps the planets align in orbit around the sun, too. So why is any body able to attract another? Well, since any body gives off gravitons, any body can attract another. Not to mention Newton's Third Law: "for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction. If object A exerts a force on object B, object B also exerts an equal and opposite force on object A." (NASA, 2022) Which means the force of gravity acting on a body is returned in an equal but opposite manner. The gravitational gravity that is stored in a body, which is considered potential energy, varies based on the distance of the object from the earth. I'm not really sure about gravity repulsion. When I tried reading about gravity repulsion, a bunch of articles about dark energy came up, which is the theory that explains the acceleration of the expansion of the universe, and that dark energy is kind of actually due to "antigravity" which is when normal matter and antimatter repel from one another (Than, 2021) . So maybe gravity repulsion exists in some form in the universe.
