Ground jatropha hull samples were used to estimate the proxi- mate analysis. The following are the data from the experiment: An initial sample weighing 2.9657 g was used and placed in the drying oven set at 103C overnight until the final weight became 2.6938 g. About 0.9101 g of bone-dry samples were placed in the tube furnace set at 950C for 7 min, and the resulting weight of the product was 0.2659 g. The same sample was then placed in a muffle furnace set at 600C for 4 h with a resulting final ash weight of 0.0142 g. Calculate the proximate analysis for this sample and also report the values on an as-received basis as well.
