Group assignment:

There are some controversies in the fields of leadership and management on whether managers should give authority to their teams or not. There are arguments for and against building autonomous teams.

With your partner, choose to represent one position each (point or counterpoint). Research this topic and using the ideas you find in your research argue why giving autonomy to teams can be beneficial, and in what ways (point), or why it can be disadvantageous, and in what ways (counterpoint).

A conclusion page is needed if you advise leaders to create autonomous teams or not. Your conclusion should be directly based on the research you present in the previous section

Your final paper will have four main sections:

-Introduction on the topic (What the issue is, why it matters, etc.)

-Point (Why it is good to provide team members with autonomy and build an autonomous team)

-Counterpoint (Why it may be harmful to build fully autonomous teams)

-Conclusion (Based on all the information you presented in previous sections what would you advise managers to do? What is the final takeaway?)
