Happy Healthy is a mid-sized insurance company based out of Ontario, Canada. They offer individuals health and life insurance through monthly membership packages. The company has approximately 250 employees and is expected to keep growing. They are currently looking to expand their online presence by creating a cloud-based customer portal so that customers can manage their membership and insurance claims online.
You are the Business Analyst on the Delivery Team that has been hired by Happy Health to deliver the solution. The project is being led by the IT team and sponsored by the company’s Vice President of Operations.
The VP of Operations, who is the Executive Sponsor for the project, has come up with a vision for the product that includes the following 3 elements:
1. Company website: The solution should include an updated and rebranded company website that features the company’s insurance products and acts as a jumping-off point to the customer portal for plan members.
2. Customer portal: The solution needs to include a customer portal for insurance plan members, where they can manage their insurance membership and online claims.
3.Customer database: The solution will require a database to house the personal, membership, and claims information of paid plan members.
To begin the project, you have brought the Customer Team together for a Kick-Off Meeting.
