Read, study and analyze the following chapter of the textbook: Wager, K.A., Lee, F.W., & Glaser, J.P. (2013). Health care information systems: A practical approach for health care management (3rd ed.). Jossey-Bass/John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Chapter 5: Clinical Information Systems

Then, write a written work where you answer the following: Find two (2) Internet health care information system providers that offer electronic health record products. For the search, you can type the keywords "electronic health record providers". Make a brief comparison between the two (2) systems and include their functions and characteristics, and answer how these systems compare with the definitions of EHR, as defined by the Institute of Medicine (IOM).

Describe and explain the basic features of the following electronic health information systems.

-Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) system

-Medication administration system using barcode technology

-Telemedicine or telehealth system Personal Health Record (PHR)

Find information on the four (4) major barriers that exist in health information technology. They are financial, behavioral, technical, and privacy and security. Then answer the following questions:

-What does each barrier consist of?

-What do you think is the biggest barrier and why?

-Identifies the strategies that are being used to overcome these and other barriers.
