Hello, can someone explain $($With steps$/$drawing$)$ why the Area of the two fluids below is not $"$ L$$l sin alpha $"$ but $"$L$$l$"$ from solution below?

If one has an easier way to calculate all the steps, it would be appreciated. Subject is Fluid Mechanics
