Hello classmates and Professor, My name is Ursula Pittman. I'm eager to take this course to learn more and get closer to my degree in Healthcare Administration. My degree will help me climb the managerial ladder to better myself and be a great leader to others. I am excited about starting this class and enthusiastic about learning more to help me improve my career. I am 90% closer to graduating, and every class I take will help me understand more about the Healthcare Administrative position in the medical field. I work full-time as a Medical Support Assistant in the Civil Service at the Medical Clinic. I am the Office Manager overseeing the front receptionist area, Interim Squadron Secretary, and Group Project Manager (GPM), ensuring the provider's schedule is entered accurately into the system. When not working full-time, I volunteer at my local chapel, Prussman Chapel. I serve as the Chapel Secretary, Co-Chapel Activities Director, and Children's Church Preschool Teacher, and I sing in the Gospel Choir Praise, Worship Team, and Dance Ministry. Along with challenging myself mentally, I must challenge myself spiritually and physically. After work, if I am not volunteering, I walk daily to relax and clear my mind. I hope to understand the importance of strategic planning and marketing in healthcare in ways of characterizing an organization's direction and settling on choices that align with its drawn-out objectives. A fundamental movement empowers medical service associations like clinics, facilities, and private practices to expect and address changes in the medical service climate while guaranteeing their administrations are successful, practical, and feasible. I am unsure about others, but I always love learning and am interested in the challenges and experiences ahead. I cannot wait to interact and learn from each of you. I am hoping that I will leave this course understanding Strategic Planning and Marketing in the healthcare field. Good luck to everyone these next eight weeks. V/r Ursula Pittman
