Hello - I am currently typing a up a case on USX for the company of L_Oreal and would like to know whether it would be a wise decision to either recommend the firm execute a spin-off or recommend a target stock for restructure of the company and why.

I am also not sure on how to obtain the equity value of each business segment of the firm using multiples variation ("PER") nor how to calculate it while using two other companies similar to USX as a benchmark - can somebody please help?
