Do not go into excruciating detail. 2. Who is the target customer for your product or service? Of course, many customers can use it, but who is the ideal customer? But for now, just pick the ONE that is most likely to keep the person's attention. 5. Who is the competition? Consider what a prospective customer is likely to do if they don't use your product. If you are selling an early market technology, the competition is often just maintaining the status quo. If you have established competitors, briefly discuss who they are and what they have accomplished. Successful competition is an advantage-it is proof your business model and/or concept work. 6. What is your competitive advantage? How are you different that the competition? Simply being in an industry with successful competitors is not enough.
