I hope you are well! I am writing to seek your suggestions on usage of R.

I use R for advanced data analysis, but I am poor at basic usages.

I am wondering whether you could tell me more about how to use R and provide some references.

For example, how to change the values of one variable, given a condition. how to generate a new variable, given a condition.

Not only these two examples, but all other actions on this basic level.

I have nearly no education about base basic R usages. Most packages have a manual, and most of the time I could get the packages work, only after I cleaned the data first. Sometimes I even need to do that in Stata, which is really annoying.
