Greetings All,

Prior to analyzing the benefits of SaaS solutions and their benefits to MTC, we must understand MTC's message for reflection. In the words recalled by MTC's Chief Info. Officer, Raj Patel, his hindsight is set on the adoption of the SaaS solution for the hiring process itself. The initial benefit of the IT Strategy of using a SaaS solution to support the hiring process is the cost-effectiveness it provides. Due to it revolving around a multitenant environment resulting lower software liscense costs (IBM). In addition, the final IT strategy noted is the reduction in time, many the efficiency and and speed of the application benefit both the producer and consumers of the MTC company (IBM Cloud Team, 2020).

Furthermore, there are three things the CIO (team) should look for as they consider which SaaS vendor to select and the importance it plays to MTC. The initial is taking note of the interoperability within the SaaS vendor. The reasons due by allowing standardized data elements for data exchange, meaning capability of exchanging data with any required legacy system that is existing. In addition, does the scalability of the SaaS vendor meet the quality expected by consumers. The questions asked are whether the IT system is able to accommodate the expected amount of users and recording all transactions made. This benefits the tracking system of information for MTC to rely on when needed. Lastly, referring to Raj Patel concerns over security breach, security is the most vital to ensure safekeeping within the MTC program.

In conclusion, highlighting MTC's biggest risk in outsourcing this IT function would be the attempts to prevent data loss. The inconvenience that data loss causes disruption in daily functions needed to be completed through data-based work (Gillis, 2023). In terms of prevention and who within MTC are responsible, it is certainly the technical staff who are assigned to security breaches.
