Hello I need help for a project proposal. I've had a hard to come up with a project for my class and was hoping for some ideas to do.

Topic: This is a machine learning course. You have the potential to do cool projects on real time datasets (e.g.: from Kaggle) with the tools that weve covered already in class. You can do a straightforward project (e.g. predict X with maximum accuracy given data Y) or pursue more exploratory projects applying more advanced machine learning strategies to more complex problems.

Data: There needs to be an available data set for you to analyze. Ideally larger and more complex data than something in a curated row-column or database table format. There are several online databases you could use to gather data. In the past, some students have eve collected their own data from wearables and sensors to create their ML projects.

Learning goal: What is the goal of unsupervised or supervised learning on this data? Is it possible with the data available?

Exploratory and Extensible: Projects should have multiple facets. One concrete prediction objective is good, but there needs to be enough depth to your approach or optional goals that it cannot be done in only a few weeks.

Deliverable 2: Project Proposal

Project Name, Participant name and Workflow:

Give the project an appropriate name.

Project Abstract:

Include 1-3 paragraphs (at least 1000 words) explaining your project. Consider a short executive summary that can be used when you post the PDF. This abstract should focus on the goal of the project from a users perspective rather than the underlying implementation methods you will use.

Please provide at least one figure/visual demonstration/screenshot with an appropriate caption. A typical figure could be the flowchart of the predicted output and how the ML process in your projects case will be (do not include a generic flowchart with typical steps of an ML process like a generic data prep, model selection, training, evaluation and making prediction- edit this flowchart to customize to your projects goal).

Project Design and Milestones:

List the underlying technologies and design methods in as much detail as possible, e.g. which programming languages, APIs, modules, server-side configurations, and client-side hardware/software you expect to use.

List as many verifiable milestones as possible between now and the completion of the project. Identify incremental features. The goal is to produce a project that will allow incremental development.

Related projects:

Please list and provide contrasting detail for at least two related approaches or sites accessible online. You dont have to do something new but aim to be unique if possible. Differentiate approaches that are commercial vs freely available as well as those that are closed vs. open source.
