Topic 7 (Week 6 M Mar.1): A parser in the general sense is a "formatter": take in some raw strings and organize them into data structures so that later algorithms can understand the input. It is used in different systems besides the compiler. Can you find a few examples showing parser outside of compiler use? The goal is to show us how parser is used different systems to format input files. Some ideas: google "game engine parser", "log parser", "XML parser".
