Hello, I study government and institutional accounting and I need help with internal services funds, I have already learned that internal services funds are required to account for any activity that provides goods or services to other funds, departments or agencies of the primary government and their component units, or to other governments, on a cost reimbursement basis. What are the advantages and disadvantages of these and which are considered compatible with for-profit companies in terms of financial reporting? Thanks.
