I firmly believe that organizations have an ethical responsibility to transparently communicate all pertinent information regarding planned changes to their employees. This principle stands true irrespective of the nature of the changes, be they positive or otherwise. Sharing comprehensive details of impending changes plays a pivotal role in cultivating trust between the organization and its employees. It sends a clear message that management is committed to the well-being of its staff, strengthening their connection to the company, fostering loyalty, and motivating them to actively contribute to organizational growth. Additionally, this open dialogue encourages transparency, creating an environment of collaboration and open communication. It empowers employees to understand the motives behind these changes and actively participate in the organization's success. Furthermore, it mitigates misunderstandings or conflicts by ensuring that employees are well-informed about the potential impact of changes, allowing them to prepare effectively and make necessary adjustments. Finally, such transparency enables employees to provide invaluable feedback, a vital component of successful change management. I do believe an organization should share selected information about intended changes. I do not believe sharing all information is necessary because it may breach certain levels of security. Sharing information that requires confidentiality could become a problem that leaves the organization open to opposing threats. Employers need to inform their employees of upcoming changes and it is also important for them to explain the reasons for the shifts and how the alterations would have an impact on the employees.

Disclosing pertinent information on planned changes within the organization will help to build trust and loyalty between the employer and their employees. Providing reasons and strategies for the planned changes will help to alleviate fears and doubts. If the employees are not included in the change they may feel as if they are overlooked and may feel as if they are not essential to the organization. Including the employees will give them a sense of security and boost their engagement with the organization's transformations.

Not disclosing information could lead to the employees feeling demoralized. There would also be a higher risk of conflicts with the employees from the change. The overall performance of the company could decrease because of the lack of knowledge and the increase in resistance from the employees. In our text, an example of the importance of having open communication was given with the Johnson and Johnson Services incident. The chairperson of Johnson and Johnson, James Burke, felt it was important for the consumers to know what the company planned to do when there were reports of tampered Tylenol bottles (University of Minnesota, 2017). An organization's transparency builds trust and loyalty for not only its consumers but should be equally or even more important to build that relationship with its employees.
