Second Question:

Assume a home battery starts full, stores 8 kWh of energy, and has a peak discharge rate of 3 kW.

Assume also that, if either limit is exceeded, grid electricity, at $0.2/kWh, is used to provide the remaining energy or power.

Suppose Sue charges her electric car, which draws 10 kW, for 2 hours.

How much will she need to pay the utility for grid electricity and how much did she save during the car charging from using her battery?
