Help answer the following question
Bart comes home from a long day at work and he is irritable. He has also been marital problems with his wife, who starts in on him as soon as he walks in the door. After verbally abusing Bart, his wife announces that she is leaving him for her lesbian lover, Jean. Bart has known about his wife's affair but thought it was just a fling. Bart asks his to reconsider, but she just laughs and tells Bart that Jean is much better in bed than he will ever be.
Bart leaves his house and drives to Jean's, about a mile away. He pulls into the drive and goes to the door. Jean answers the door and with a smirk on her face, she asks Bart what he wants. Bart has his hunting knife on his hip in a sheath. He pulls the knife and stabs Jean six times about her chest and torso killing her. He drops the knife, sits down on the porch and then calls 911 to report what he has done. He hangs up, lights a cigarette and waits for police to arrive. He is cooperative and polite to police. Under Miranda, he tells the officer that when he heard his wife was leaving him for Jean, he just snapped. He then invokes his right to silence. Michigan Law Statue
