Help me to convert this to an essay. Top is Equal Rights Amendment.

  1. The Equal Rights Amendment is the topic of my historical analysis. I chose this topic because I want to learn about and explain how the Amendment had a significant part in American history. In 1923, Alice Paul proposed an amendment to Congress to ensure that men and women have equal rights. Moreover, before this amendment women did not have the right to vote and exercise any political power at all. On the other hand, this amendment paved the way for even more opportunity for women socially, economically, and politically. This amendment also helped progress American democracy.

Both sources describe the amendment and its significance for women. The Brennan center article discusses current legal challenges as well as the ERA's importance. The pieces have a lot in common because they both talk about the Equal Rights Amendment and how important it is for women.? They both discuss the Equal Rights Amendment in detail and that is the reason why they are appropriate for the event that I'm investigating. That, of course, being about the Equal Rights amendment itself. My thought process for searching sources was based on three factors as to what specific sources that I would use: what information did the source cover, how accurate was it, and the credibility of each source. I also used these three factors to make choices.
