The Virtual Reality Theater is a movie house that shows virtual reality movies at weekday evening, weekend matinee, and weekend evening screenings. The theater management has asked you to prepare a worksheet, based on the revenue from a typical week, which can be used in reevaluating its ticket structure.

Three types of tickets are sold at each presentation: general admission, senior citizen, and children. During an average week, weekday evening shows generate $9,835 from general admission ticket sales, $5,630 from senior citizen ticket sales, and $1,675 from children ticket sales. Weekend matinee shows make $7,250 from general admission ticket sales, $2,345 from senior citizen ticket sales, and $3,300 from children ticket sales. Weekend evening shows earn $9,230 from general admission ticket sales, $8,125 from senior citizen ticket sales, and $1,600 from children ticket sales.

Use your knowledge of spreadsheets and Excel to prepare a worksheet that displays the above information and includes total revenues for each type of ticket and for each presentation time.

Specific Steps to Complete

Place a title for the worksheet in row 1. Formatting will be completed after all work is entered

Place a sub-title for the worksheet in row 2.

Leave row 3 blank, and start your data block in cell A4.

Include all given and calculated information in your data block (with no blank rows or columns in the block).

Double-check your final information for accuracy. For example, scan the items being totaled and see if the total amount seem accuratethis is called the test of reasonableness which asks Does this total amount seem correct based on the numbers given for the problem? The Totals should be created from a formula.

After you are sure your data block (the rectangular group of cells starting in cell A4) accurately displays all needed information, then format the worksheet to make it easy to read.

Typical formatting includes wrapping text of column headings, using the Accounting format for the dollar values in the top and bottom rows of the data block, using the Comma format for the dollar values between the top and bottom rows of the data block, electing to not display decimal amounts for amounts larger than $999.99, total row formatting, title fonts, etc.

Include an appropriate chart. (Choose the selection for your chart carefully.)

Center your work vertically and horizontally on the page. Landscape orientate.

Sit back and view your file with the human eye. Does it look professional and presentable?
