Handout for Breakout Room Activity
Henry wanted to play the arcade games at Donnie's Dine and Play in Witney, California. The restaurant is open for business, and next week the play area will be too, now that COVID restrictions have been lifted. Advance reservations are required to be made online. Donnie's Dine and Play has a website.
Henry has physical challenges that require him to use a wheelchair, and he is hearing impaired. He tried to make reservations at Donnie's Dine and Play, but he could not work the website.
For a guest to make the reservation on the website, a person must include a phone number where they may be called for a voice conversation.
Henry cannot communicate via the telephone only by text messages, and therefore inputting his phone number would be useless. No one is permitted in Donnie's Dine and Play without a prior reservation, so it is impossible to go and speak with the restaurant and arcade.
Henry becomes more and more upset by the minute. Henry believes that this must be a violation of federal and state law. He has contacted our law office for legal assistance.
