HEOS WE WWE UPRATO WE UKE PM MO AD KEEP OROL SA RAM New Horizons is an interplanetary space probe that was launched as a part of NASA's New Frontiers program on Jan. 19, 2006; had its historic encounter with Pluto in 2015. Now the craft is in the Kuiper Belt, and reached to Ultima Thule. the farthest object humanity has ever tried to visit -, on January 1, 2019. Sending a spacecraft on this long journey is helping us to answer basic questions about the surface properties, geology, interior makeup and atmospheres on these bodies. As happened at Pluto, New Horizons will not be communicating with Earth during closest approach, because it will be focused on gathering all the science it can during the high-speed flyby. Whenever it does turn back to point at Earth to transmit data it will take more than 6 hours for its data to traverse the distance between us. At about 1,000 bits per second, it will take roughly 20 months to send home all of the newly-collected data about Ultima Thule. Please explain the reason of this delay using network terminology
