Herbalife is a company that sells energy and fitness products that support a healthy life style. Herbalife has a multilevel marking which is the direct sellers earn income from their own sale of products as well as commissions from sales they have recruited. It is called a pyramid because who ever is at the top is profiting from everybody they recruited and it branches out as large as possible. A illegal pyramid scheme cannot force sales or recruitment. This multilevel marketing should be a choice to to sellers if they want to increase their owning. Pyramid schemes reward recruitment whether or not the recruit sells anything. Herbalife only rewards multilevel marketing if the recruit sells a product. Herbalife does provide a legal multilevel model that is ethical. It creates more brand awareness and offers discounts for recruits to use on products they want for personal use. This model raises ethical concern because the person at the top of the pyramid is benefiting from people he recruited who are doing most of the work, The recuits have to give a percentage of the sale tho who recruited them to Herbalife. These reason may why nearly 75 percent of Herbalife members are single level distributors.

Herbalife have demonstrated social responsibility by holding annual ethic trainings for their employees every year. They offer three forms to report unethical behavior that will lead to that employee getting disciplined. In 2015 Herbalife announced a one year partnership with Global Health Strategies Institute to improve nutritional intake for 10,000 young children in India. The top values summarized on the website are, "the right, honest, and ethical thing". The future holds people still thinking that their business model is unethical but they will still be successful spreading their products and making everybody aware that they are in fact acting ethically.
