I want to put this table into R (it's from the web from gerontology fandom)

The problems I have:

how do I take the column "age as of 22 Jan 2023" and turn those into numbers instead of strings and do for example in the first instance 115+324/365 and do that for all of them?

Also, how do I take care of the country column. I don't want those graphics of the country flags. I just want the country name abbreviation
