Here is my project so far, | am confident finding the slope this time as | got it wrong in my last project. | hope to get it right this time. Please let me know if you see any corrections or have any insights. It was fascinating looking into the actual difference between hybrid vehicles. | just got my car last summer and am hoping to drive it for at least 10 years. It will be a while out but | am hoping hybrid vehicles become the norm and they become even less expensive *fingers crossed as we know how expenses rise. Many people are worried about the condition of the planet and climate change. One thing that each of us can do is to start using more fuel-efficient appliances and vehicles. Let's pretend that you are in the market for a hybrid vehicle. You will determine the difference between the number of gallons of fuel required for your current vehicle and the hybrid vehicle for a particular set of miles. Note that if you already own an electric or hybrid vehicle, research your previous vehicle, or the vehicle of a family member or friend. Please round all answers to the nearest hundredth. Instructions: 1. Go to this site, https:/mpgbuddy.com/ Find your current vehicle's gas mileage. This will be in miles/gallon. Make and model of your car: 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan Highway mileage of your present car:29 mpg highway 2. Find a hybrid car that you would be interested in purchasing and find its gas mileage (miles/gallon). Make and model of the hybrid car: 2022 Honda CRV Hybrid Highway mileage of the hybrid car: 35 mpg highway 3. Create tables comparing the miles versus the gallons of gas required for 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 miles for both vehicles. Clearly label each table with units and show all work step by step below the tables. Current car: Miles Gallons 20 69 40 1.38 60 2.07 80 2.76 100 3.45Hybrid car: Miles Gallons 20 .58 40 1.14 60 171 80 2.29 100 2.86 4. You are now going to graph both lines as you did in Project 1. Take a moment to review what you have learned about dependent and independent variables. What will be your dependent and independent variable, and why? Graph both lines on the same graph. Label the axes clearly with units and plot all points with a line drawn through. You may do a hand-drawn graph (it must be neat, and you need to use a ruler) or use a program like Excel but follow the directions. Dependent variable and axis : this will be the y axis for gallons because it depends on the miels. Independent variable and axis: x axis would be miles because that is the known Dependent variable and axis : this will be the y axis for gallons because it depends on the miels.
