I missed the class corresponding to this worksheet problem so I am absolutely clueless on which test to use. I'm just not sure whether the data being transformed affects which test is used... Thanks for your help!

1. A researcher wanted to investigate the effects of a high glucose diet on the weight of Syrian hamsters. He randomly selected 100 adult hamsters to receive either (a) intravenous glucose (10 mg/min) or (b) intravenous saline for 30 minutes each day for 4 weeks. At the end of the 4 week period, he measured the weight (in ounces) of each hamster. The researcher found that the weight of the hamsters in the glucose group was right skewed, so he transformed all the data by taking the natural log of the hamsters weights. After the transformation, the data points were normally distributed.
