Base on my purpose statement and research question stated below, what are some information or guidelines I can use to help me write my Theoretical Background section?

Purpose Statement:

By doing this research, the researcher will be able to identify the pros and cons of the method that is used during the present teaching method. We can also site some practice from the previous year to check other possibilities of improving current academic year.

Research Question:

Is there any significant progress on student's learning in Math at Jack Hayward Junior High School remotely from academic year 2019-2020 vs 2020-2021?
