Hi Chris, This is Belinda from the Excelsior project team. I hope your week is going well. I'm calling today to seek your help in dealing with an issue. As you may be aware, we have been working on a critical project for one of Alpha International's major clients. I'm getting very nervous that we might not make the August 10th deadline despite all the hard work we are putting in. I hesitated to call but everyone is so tense and the team seems to be falling apart and so I really felt reaching out was the only option. I believe the main issue is Carla's constant and not so subtle complaining that we are not working fast and hard enough. What's more Khaled's and my design suggestions that we've so carefully researched and crafted keep being met by a "no can do" attitude. It's quite disheartening to have one's hard work being either ignored or quickly dismissed. I've tried to bring up the issue with our project manager, Percy, but I'm afraid I was not very successful in getting him to see the situation from our perspective. He generally seems to trust Carla's instincts over ours. I personally feel her need for control and to have everything done her way is hurting the team. Both Khaled and I don't like confrontation, but we're slowly growing tired of being the only ones doing any form of accommodating and of their indifference to our emotional states. I would very much appreciate if you could intervene on our behalf or give us some advice for fixing our team given how important this project and client are for the company. Thanks Chris.
