Hi class, I read a very interesting article written in the highly respected, "Foreign Affairs": The Rise Of Big Data: "How It's Changing the Way We Think About the World" By Kenneth Neil Cukier and Viktor Mayer-Schoenberger Article Below: The Rise of Big Data One premise it has or at least implies: the era of sampling is dead because big data eliminates the need for samples. I certainly think there are some cases where sampling would not be needed I think the answer is not as black and white as the authors seem to imply. For extra credit read the article I've enclosed. I think you will enjoy reading it. Post a response to the following: Is statistics dead? Is inferential statistics dead? Why or why not. Actually, I think you should avoid a simple yes or no but perhaps based on what you've learned so far post a more nuanced response that a binomial type answer. You can also respond to any other related statistical statements the authors may have made. You can also based on this article: what will be the future of statistics? How will it change or not change? Why or why not
