7. In the EU elections in May 2019 a survey of those of voting age living in England asked about their intention of voting for a pro-EU party (Liberal Democrats, Green Party or Change UK) or for an anti-EU party (Brexit, UKIP or Conservative) or for another party. It was found that 42% of individuals would vote for a pro-EU party and 34% would vote for an anti-EU party. Of those living in London (34% of the sample) the proportion voting for a pro-EU party was 50% and voting for an anti-EU party was 26%. We know that in every region in England males are 10% more likely to vote for an anti-EU party compared to females, in addition females are 8% more likely to vote for a pro-EU party than males throughout the country. Females make up 50% of the sample in all regions. The probability that you vote for a pro-EU party given you are female and living in London is: (4 marks) (a) 0.621 (b) 0.519 (c) 0.419 (d) 0.553
